Where vision becomes Reality

before you start booking, please take a minute and read these questions.

Questions to getting a tattoo, there could be a couple or there could be a lot! Here are some that will make it easier when looking to booking an appointment.

  • WHERES YOUR SHOP LOCATION AND HOURS?

I'm located in Troutdale Oregon, and I tattoo out of Evolution Tattoo Gallery. I've been tattooing with Kent and Heather for 3 years now, and I'm also traveling to different conventions and expos as well. Such as California and more recently my guest spot in New York! Hopefully, more states and expos will be added to my routine schedule here soon!

  • How do you normally schedule your tattoo appointments?

  • I like to book my tattoos via email submissions from my website. This way I can sort between the tattoos that I can fit into my schedule and look more at the projects that I want to do. Unfortunately, I can't take on every tattoo that comes in or that comes my way. So, I do pick and choose the tattoos I want to do and including tattoo projects. However, I do have time for small tattoos as well and like to get people in as soon as possible! I'm also into doing one-on-one tattoo consultations to talk more in-depth about bigger pieces or projects like sleeves and back pieces. Most often I like to keep things simple, so the clearer you are in your tattoo descriptions, then the better and more confident I feel about getting your tattoo in the schedule ASAP.

  • What tattoos do you like to do/will you do my tattoo?

  • I always love to do realistic tattoos and surrealism tattoos. Doing a photorealistic tattoo on the skin has always been my dream; therefore, it’s also my goal! I do like to do a mix of genres like neo-traditional mixed into realism for example. One style that is my favorite is my twist on "trash polka" (hyper realistic black and grey with red) and that is one style that is my go-to!

Sometimes, but not always; I do other styles but it's not usually my normal. So, realism is a yes for me :)

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

I like to work in flat rates, this makes it easier between me and the client since there's no confusion on how long to expect or how much to charge. I have my shop minimum (1 to 2-hour tattoo), half-day rate (4-hour tattoo), and my full-day rate (up to 7-hour tattoo). All adds up to my rate of $250 an hour.

Additionally, I offer a "2 Day" rate, so that you can have a full big piece in 2 days rather than waiting 3 to 4 weeks to complete your tattoo. It also makes it easier for me to continue a bigger piece this way and is more cost-effective in the long run.

  • how much do you charge for booking a tatoo?

I will still charge $200 to book small tattoos up to four hours. For tattoos that are 5 hours or longer are full-day sessions and I will require $500 to book. All booking fees will count toward your tattoo once your tattoo is finished.

  • How far do you normally book and how soon can I get in?

I typically book 3 to 4 months out. I try not to book out further than that so that I can stay focused on the pieces that I book. This is better for me not to get overbooked.

  • When it comes to projects (such as sleeves, leg sleeves, or back pieces etc..) I will pick ones that suit my style and others that can fill my schedule easily.

  • I plan on working with smaller tattoos as well since they will be easy to get in for the later part of the day.

  • Depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo, I can get clients in within 3 to 4 months after booking has opened.

  • DO YOU DO COVER UPS/ TOUCH UPS?

Yes, I do free touch-ups of my own work for free; if I’ve worked on your piece in the last 6 months, Then it’s a free touch-up. If it’s been over 6 months, then I can discuss a price for that session to cover the cost of materials.

-COVER-UPS-

They take time, bottom line. I’ve done enough to feel comfortable in doing cover-ups. Just know those tattoos take 2 - 3 sessions to start the change for the overall look for the tattoo. My goal after every session is that you leave the shop with a complete tattoo.

  • Do you finish other people's work?

My official answer is… it never hurts to ask!

I always love to work on pieces that I get to start and work on. However, I do work on other pieces that other people start, but under very strict conditions. IF you have pieces started by other tattoo artists you should always reach out to them in any way you can and make sure that they can still work, touch up, fix, or correct anything you got from them first; this is to show courtesy to your original artist. Still, always ask your artist if they're ok with it!
